APS Civil and Construction where modern machinery meets a skilled and safety-conscious crew.

APS Civil and Construction (APS Civil) is a small-medium civil and drainage company specialising in earthworks, siteworks, stormwater and wastewater drainage working on exciting projects in Auckland and the Bay of Plenty region.

The Problem

Frustrated with constantly chasing paper dockets, APS Civil wanted a better way to manage their business. After hearing about us from an existing customer and seeing our Smart Civil prototype, they quickly realised a custom Power Apps solution would be a great fit for their business.

The Solution

Using Microsoft's Power Apps, Teal Software built a custom job and docket management system, called CivilHub, focussing initially on site and truck dockets. Some of the benefits include:

• Freeing up General Manager's time to focus on value-add activities rather than chasing and scanning paper dockets

• Easily accessible, real-time information on loads carted, labour hours and machine usage for a particular job

• Professionally presented digital dockets to support claims

• Digital incident register and easy tracking of corrective actions

Built 'low-code' using Microsoft’s pre-built components (not a bespoke fully coded app) means another consultant with sufficient Power Apps expertise could take this project on and add to or alter it in time.
